Climate
The site is high in altitude: the summit is noticeably cooler than the base, with plenty of cloud, high humidity and fast-changing weather — check the day’s forecast before you go.
Spring
Wet and humid, cool in the mornings and evenings. Bring rain gear, a light jacket and non-slip shoes.
Summer
- Hot below, cool on top — quick-dry clothing plus a light jacket works best;
- Thunderstorms are common; mind lightning safety when hiking.
Autumn
Clear and crisp — a great season for cloud seas and sunrises. Day–night temperature swings are large; a shell plus a warm layer is ideal.
Winter
- The summit can ice over: down jacket, hat, gloves and non-slip shoes are essential;
- Boardwalks get slippery — walk slowly, hold the handrail, and follow site notices.
What to bring
- Original ID card (real-name entry);
- Rain gear, warm jacket, non-slip shoes;
- Plenty of water and some snacks — supplies on the mountain are limited.
