Clean Up the Earth Day and Ecological Protection of Fanjingshan
Around Clean Up the Earth Day each year, Fanjingshan carries out various publicity and volunteer activities centered on ecological protection, spreading knowledge about biodiversity, waste sorting and low-carbon travel to the public, calling on visitors to travel responsibly and jointly safeguard this World Natural Heritage site. Fanjingshan is located in Tongren, Guizhou, and is the main peak of the Wuling Mountains, with a maximum altitude of 2572 m. In 2018 it was inscribed on the World Natural Heritage List, and it is also one of the regions with the richest biodiversity at the same latitude worldwide.
Responsible Visiting Starts with Small Steps
Protecting nature starts with small steps. When visiting, please carry your rubbish down the mountain with you or put it into sorting facilities; do not discard or bury it on site. Do not pick flowers or branches, do not dig up plants, and do not disturb or feed wild animals. Walk along open trails, do not trample vegetation, and do not enter closed areas. At the same time, reduce single-use items and packaging waste, do not bring fire sources into the forest, and help keep forest fire prevention safe.

Travel Tips and Ecological Value
Fanjingshan implements online real-name reservation ticketing for all visitors. It is recommended to book in advance; entry requires swiping your original ID card, and visitors should follow the staggered entry time slots. The summit is about 8 to 10°C cooler than the foot of the mountain, so please bring a windproof jacket, comfortable hiking shoes, rain gear and drinking water. The final stretch of the climb to Hongyun Golden Summit is almost vertical, requiring hands and feet and a firm grip on the iron chains; those afraid of heights or with limited stamina should go at their own pace.
This area has a well-preserved primeval forest ecosystem, with large areas of dove trees, and it is also the only habitat of the Guizhou golden monkey, home to thousands of species of wild animals and plants. May every visit find the mountains as they were and the streams ever clear.
